Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, highly organized, and strategic Director, New Business to drive growth for our media agency. In this mid-level leadership role, you will manage the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process, orchestrate the agency pitch pipeline, and help position our media services to prospective clients. You will sit at the crossroads of our strategy, data, and creative teams to build compelling narratives that win new business.
Core Responsibilities
Pitch Management: Lead the day-to-day operations of the agency's active pitch pipeline, ensuring all milestone deadlines, chemistry meetings, and final presentations run seamlessly.
RFP Orchestration: Own the writing, formatting, and submission of RFI and RFP documents by gathering inputs from various specialized internal departments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with media planners, digital buyers, data analysts, and senior management to design cohesive, multi-channel pitch strategies.
Prospecting & Market Intelligence: Research emerging brands, track spending shifts, and identify prospective clients that align with the agency's growth goals
Collateral Development: Create and continuously update the agency’s marketing materials, credential decks, case studies, and proprietary tool overviews.
Reporting & Tracking: Maintain data cleanliness in the agency CRM, tracking win/loss metrics, pitch costs, and prospective client health.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience working within an advertising or media agency, with at least 2 years focused specifically on business development or account management.
Media Acumen: Understanding of modern media channels, including paid search, social media, programmatic buying, and traditional linear channels.
Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record of handling high-pressure deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.
Communication: Masterful written and verbal communication skills, including a talent for turning complex media data into simple, persuasive pitch decks.
Tech Savvy: High proficiency in presentation software (Keynote, PowerPoint) and CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot), alongside familiarity with media research platforms like Nielsen or Comscore.
