Overview

The SVP, Insights & Connections is a senior strategic leader who transforms data, culture, and human behavior into powerful insights and stories that drive meaningful connections and business growth. Reporting to the EVP of North America, this role plays a critical part in shaping the agency’s strategic point of view—leading high-stakes new business pitches, partnering closely with senior clients, and stepping into day-to-day client work when the team need extra strategic firepower.

This role is for a leader who elevates thinking through sharp writing, compelling storytelling, and mentorship, and who believes the best strategies are built shoulder-to-shoulder with teams. It’s an opportunity to do the most impactful work of your career—and help others do the same. 

Responsibilities

Insight & Strategic Development 

  • Synthesize insights by recognizing patterns across business dynamics, category forces, cultural and social shifts, audience behavior, and the full consumer journey. 

  • Distill clarity-driving strategic truths—culminating in a powerful Rally Cry that anchors cohesive brand experiences across paid, owned, and earned channels. 

  • Identify how media can influence behavior and drive outcomes at every stage of the journey 

Storytelling & Thought Leadership 

  • Serve as a progressive thinker on high-visibility POVs with an instinct for provocations and how to visually bring to life thinking  

  • Present confidently and persuasively to senior clients, internal leadership, and prospective clients, ensuring understanding and alignment 

  • Act as a visible thought leader for the agency—helping define how the agency shows up in the market through ideas, perspectives, and innovation 

Client Partnership  

  • Act as a senior strategic partner to key clients, providing clarity, perspective, and inspiration 

  • Step into active client work when teams need support, guidance, or senior-level thinking 

  • Help clients see beyond media tactics to broader connections, experiences, and long-term brand impact 

 

New Business & Growth  

  • Play a central role in new business pitches—shaping the strategic approach, story arc, and final presentation 

  • Bring energy, clarity, and confidence to pitch rooms, helping teams elevate both thinking and performance 

 

People & Culture 

  • Mentor and develop a diverse group of strategists, setting a high bar for thinking and craft 

  • Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and intellectual rigor 

  • Be a trusted relationship builder across agency disciplines and elevating work 

Required Skills

  • 15+ years of experience in media strategy, insights, or comms/brand planning. 

  • Demonstrated new business success and pitch leadership. 

  • Experience partnering with C-level client stakeholders  

  • A deep understanding of marketing, brand building, media, and research

Compensation (Text Only)

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $185-240k USD. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
