Overview

Join Assembly’s Summer Internship Program and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment. Over 10 weeks, you’ll work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry leaders, and have the opportunity to network within the Stagwell network of agencies. This is more than an internship—it’s your chance to kickstart your career in the marketing and advertising industry.

 

As an intern, you’ll collaborate with our teams on meaningful client projects, attend exclusive workshops and speaker events, and participate in optional programs like Shark Tank-style competitions and career path mini-series.

 

Our program is open to college juniors, seniors, and recent graduates who are eager to explore different facets of design, digital marketing, and brand experience.

 

Successful applicants must commit to the duration of the program from June 1, 2026, to August 7, 2026. They will follow a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 days in-office at 1WTC and 2 days of remote work each week. The work hours will be from 9 AM to 5 PM ET, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

As a Design Intern within the Brand Experience team, you’ll collaborate closely with our creative team, social strategists, and media professionals. You’ll gain exposure to multiple channels including organic social, paid social, and display, and work alongside art directors, copywriters, social strategists, and media strategists. You’ll contribute to projects that bring our clients’ brands to life and help shape creative storytelling across the digital landscape.

 

Collaborate with the Brand Experience team, creative team, and social strategists on digital design projects across multiple channels including organic social, paid social, and display.

 

· Assist in translating strategic objectives into compelling visual assets for a variety of formats and platforms.

· Support the creation of design assets that adhere to brand guidelines while experimenting with innovative approaches.

· Participate in brainstorms and creative reviews, contributing ideas and perspectives on design trends, digital storytelling, and social media strategies.

· Stay informed about current design trends and best practices in social and digital design.

· Maintain organized files and documentation of creative assets, ensuring smooth workflow across the team.

· Collaborate across disciplines with art directors, copywriters, media strategists, and social strategists to ensure cohesive brand experience.

· Gain exposure to multiple digital channels and media disciplines to build a holistic understanding of brand experience.

Required Skills

· Strong understanding of design principles, including hierarchy, color, typography, and layout.

· Be in tune with current design trends and the evolving social/digital media landscape.

· Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or related field preferred.

· Rising Junior, Senior, or recent Graduates.

· Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Figma, etc.).

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across disciplines.

· Interest in digital marketing, social media, and cross-channel brand experience.

· Eagerness to learn from multiple disciplines including creative, media, and social strategy.

Compensation (Text Only)

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $20/hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
