Overview

Assembly is looking for a Director, Social Media to lead paid social media client engagements, including oversight of a dedicated account team and overall program strategy in alignment with client goals.   The ideal candidate is social media obsessed, self-motivated, and extremely detail oriented.  This person should have a proven track record of successfully managing medium to enterprise-level client programs and growing program results through strategic recommendations and testing frameworks.  

 

  • Directing medium to enterprise-sized client accounts and developing social media strategies, including but not limited to developing social media roadmaps, influencer marketing strategies, social media audits, and managing paid social campaigns across all major and emerging social platforms
  • Bring creativity, fresh thinking, and new ideas to delivering great social media execution
  • Champion the use of data to drive useful insights
  • Accountable for project timeline, quality of client deliverables, and budget pacing
  • Building measurable social media strategies that ladder up to client business goals and audience insights
  • Managing assigned execution support team members across client accounts and fostering their career growth
  • Analyzing client reporting and enhancing strategy based on in-market and historical campaign results
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations to help visually communicate content strategies to client in most engaging way
  • Developing and maintaining a fluid, social media content calendar (based on important dates, events, holidays, brand priorities etc.)
  • Managing social media presences as applicable, i.e. customer service response, page monitoring, and publishing of social content
  • Identifying and developing relationships with online influencers; maintaining log of influencer communications, organizing partnerships, and reporting on success of active influencer partnerships
  • Aiding client relationships at the project level with ability to navigate client challenges while retaining client trust
  • Attending client meetings to discuss results and next steps
  • Multi-tasking and collaborating with team members to move strategic initiatives forward
  • Contribute to social media audits and business development presentations

Responsibilities

  • 3-5+ years experience in social media marketing leadership capacity, both organic and paid
  • Advanced working knowledge of all primary social media channels with an eye towards emerging trends and platforms
  • Experience in building strategies tied to business objectives and imperatives
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Excellent written, verbal skills and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Must be a fast-paced, self-starter as well as be able to work in a group project environment
  • A strategic, critical thinker with the ability to collaborate and execute
  • Experience with developing creative and targeted messaging to a variety of consumer audiences
  • A positive attitude, enjoy collaborating with other team members, and openness to taking on new challenges
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining and growing a social media presence across array of networks and technologies
  • Ability to analyze data/results and make recommended optimizations/go-forward strategies based on findings
  • Proficiency in Facebook Ads Manager; other ad platforms a plus
  • Experience managing a minimum of 2-3 direct reports
  • Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator experience or a proclivity for graphic design preferred
  • BA/BS preferred
  • Facebook Blueprint Certification highly preferred

Compensation (Text Only)

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $114,000-155,000 USD. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
